Presentation Plates are a collection of high-end presentation templates that consists of eye catching backgrounds and covers. Although it is best used as a PowerPoint add-in, this product can also be used by other popular software packages.

What are the system requirements?
The system requirements are:

What are *.pot files?.pot is PowerPoint's extension for the naming of PowerPoint design templates. .pot files can only be viewed in PowerPoint.

I don't have PowerPoint. Can I still use this product?
Yes. There are jpegs stored on the CD available in high and low resolution. There is no limit on how you can incorporate these graphics into various software applications. In most programs there should be a import command that will incorporate the jpegs into an existing project.

What is resolution?
Resolution is the visual quality of your monitor screen or graphics. Monitor resolution measures the number of pixels or dots displayed per unit of length on the monitor. It is measured in dots per inch (dpi) Printer resolution measures the number of pixels displayed per unit of printed length in an image. It is measured in pixels per inch (ppi). The abbreviation for resolution is res. Low res images contain ~72 dots per inch and is best for screen viewing. High res images contain ~150 dots per inch and is best for printing.

What is the difference between CMYK and RGB?
RGB stands for red, green, blue. RGB is the standard for screen and online viewing. CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow and black. CMYK is the standard for printing.

Where should the *.pot files be installed if I have Windows NT?
PowerPoint pulls design templates from the following directory: Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. In Windows 95,98,2000,XP the directory is C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. In Windows NT it is stored differently.

To find out where this directory is stored in Windows NT open PowerPoint select new, then select the general tab. Next, click on the blank white space in the window then right click. A gray menu will appear. Next, select properties then look for the location line. This line will tell you exactly where your template folder is on your system. Copy the directory by highlighting the location line then right click, select copy then past it into the field of Presentation Plates' installation window. Can I use the templates individually?
In PowerPoint you can open the Pot files straight from you CD then save them onto your hard drive. When using other programs simply, use the import command to place jpegs into your project. In PowerPoint you can change the background by selecting Format, Background, Click on the drop down menu then select Fill Effects, Select Picture. Browse the CD for the background that you will like to insert. If you will like to use this background throughout your presentation select Apply to All. If you just want to edit a particular slide select Apply.

How do I install Presentation Plates?
From Presentation Plates' installation interface select install presentation plates. This will download Presentation Plates directly into PowerPoint's template directory, C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. The installation wizard will guide you through the process.

Is there a way to browse the templates outside of PowerPoint?
Yes. Presentation Plates Viewer allows previewing of the templates from your desktop. To install Presentation Plates Viewer go to Presentation Plates' installation interface and select install Presentation Plates Viewer. To start the viewer go to Windows and select Start, Programs, Artistic Capabilities, Presentation Plates Viewer.

How do I use one of the templates in PowerPoint?
After you have installed the templates. Select File, New, Click on the General Tab. Within the General Tab window you will see a listing of the templates that you have just installed. To open, double click on a template of your choice.
